The name is for historical reasons: when tool was originally created (more than 2 years ago) its focus was recovery of backup passwords and backup decryption and there were no signs of iCloud at that time. As time passed the tool has evolved, gaining new features. The very latest feature is the ability to download iCloud backups.

We didn&#039;t want to release new tool (partially because we&#039;d like existing users to enjoy their free upgrades and partially because we already have way too many products). EPPB was the closest match to integrate this iCloud thing into, although I totally agree that product name is totally misleading now.]]></description>

I feel the name given for the tool is little confusing. That might be the reason for diverse feedback. May be a name like &#039;iCloud backup reader&#039; or something similar would have been appropriate.
