But honestly, who would buy the Picocomputing hardware when a single EX-500 board with fpga’s would land around €12000 excluding taxes and what not. This would still only provide the same performance as a single AMD HD7970 gpu.

While the solution with Picocomputing’s boards and modules are superior in every technical aspect, the performance per Euro is an epic failure, no matter how you look at it.
